The Genesis of Pyrite in the Fule Pb-Zn Deposit, Northeast Yunnan Province, China: Evidence from Mineral Chemistry and In Situ Sulfur Isotope

The Fule deposit is a typical Cd-, Ge- and Ga-enriched Pb-Zn located in the southeast of Sichuan–Yunnan–Guizhou polymetallic ore province China. Zoned, euhedral cubic pentagonal dodecahedral anhedral pyrites were observed, they are thought to comprise two generations. First generation pyrite (Py1) homogeneous entirely confined crystal core, whereas second (Py2) forms bright irregular rims around former. Second also occurs as in/near body or an generally closed surrounding rock. content S, Fe, Co, Ni Py1 from 52.49 53.40%, 41.91 44.85%, 0.19 0.50% 0.76 1.55%, respectively. values Co/Ni, Cu/Ni Zn/Ni 0.22 0.42, 0.02 0.08 0.43 1.49, respectively, showing that was formed sedimentary diagenetic stage. However, contents Py2 range 51.67 54.60%, 45.01 46.52%, 0.03 0.07% 0.01 0.16%, 0.40 12.33, 0.14 13.70 0.04 74.75, which characterized by hydrothermal (mineralization stage). different δ34S (−34.9 −32.3‰) (9.7 20.5‰) indicate there at least sources sulfur deposit. derived bacterial sulfate reduction (BSR), ore-forming fluids thermochemical (TSR). main reasons for morphologies regular spatial distribution temperature fugacity.
